Taken from the website: I once wrote a paper for college on Batman titled "Batman Roks." In it, I discussed Batman's physical, psychological and mental advantages over Superman. I argued that Batman is more realistic as a character. It's true that he deals with as grandiose challenges as any super hero does however, he deals with them using only his intellect, physical prowess and rich boy money. Batman can bleed. This simple attribute allows any individual to relate to Batman and thus make him more believable as a character than most.
Everyone knows that Batman was forced to deal with the death of his parents at a young age. An event like this would leave the average human callous and bruised with a grudge against society. In the case of Bruce Wayne, the torment he suffered gave birth to Batman! Batman, a symbol of safety for the innocent, and justice to the guilty! Batman, the savior of a culture gone to pot!
Anyway, enough fanboy drooling... Story of the Batman Lunchbox Growing up, I loved watching the old batman series with my dad. When I was a little kid I proudly marched into my elementary school toting my very own Batman Lunchbox! It was a bright blue comic style one with Batmans surly cowl in the foreground and the bat-symbol way in the distance. I lost the thermos on the playground one day. Indeed it was one of the saddest days I've ever endured.
The Best 9th Birthday Gift Ever! I remember when the original Batman Movie came out I was only 8 years old and my parents didn't want me to see it because they didn't think it was good for me at my young age. Low and behold on my 9th birthday my Uncle gave me one of the best gifts to date... An easy bake oven! And Michael Keaton's first Batman movie on VHS! I watched it twice that night and immediately knew what I wanted to be when I grew up: An astronaut! Erm.... no, Batman! I wanted to be a Batman Astronaut!
Batman and Blood After that, all I wanted was Batman Action Figures. I used to go on adventures in the woods with Batman and Robin for hours at a time. We'd find salamanders under rocks together and subsequently learn about biology by dissecting said salamanders. After a while, my Batman Action Figures were so dirty and covered in salamander guts that my mom threw them away, that was the saddest 18th birthday I've had to date...
My hope is that Batman aficionados as well as layman Batman fans everywhere will love the hard work and devotion the folks at FindBatman.com have put into this site. Anytime you need anything Batman related remember - Batman's Here... Where Are You?!
